Guide for client admins

Your company sends foundation repair jobs to an engineering firm that works in Structra. This guide is for the office: the Client Admin who runs the account and the Office users who submit and follow projects.

How a project flows

Every project moves through the same tabs on your Projects page: Intake, Triage, Design, Inspection and Finished. You do the first step. The engineering firm does most of the rest and comes back to you when it needs something.

  1. Start the project. Press New Project on Projects, or have a field inspector start it on site from the inspector portal. Either way it lands in Intake as Project Intake Initiated. See Submit a new project.
  2. Complete the intake. Six short steps: project info, customer, personnel, property and scope, attachments, then review. Press Submit Intake.
  3. The firm reviews it. The project moves to Triage as Ready for Triage Review. The firm approves it, or pushes it back to you with a reason. See After you submit.
  4. The firm designs it. The project sits in Design while the drawing and the engineering are done. Questions come to you as comments on the project.
  5. You get the report. The sealed report is emailed to your Client Admins as a PDF and is kept on the project. See Getting your report.
  6. Inspection, if the job needs one. If the project was marked Engineer Inspection Required, it moves to Inspection and you add the construction dates and the foreman. The firm verifies them and issues an inspection report. See Inspection details.
  7. Finished. The project moves to Finished. Its files stay available.

Who can do what

Your engineering firm, or your own Client Admin, gives each person a role. The role decides what they see.

You never see the engineering firm’s internal notes. What you can and cannot see is listed in Getting started.
