Structra Technologies, LLC (“Structra,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a project-management SaaS platform for engineering and design firms. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at structra.tech and our application at app.structra.tech (together, the “Service”).
The short version: We collect only what we need to run the Service and stay in touch with you. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. SMS notifications are strictly opt-in and you can stop them any time by replying STOP.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information. Name, work email, company name, and phone number when you sign up, request a demo, or use the Service.
- Project content. Files, plans, comments, and other data you or your team upload to manage projects.
- Communications. Messages you send us through forms, email, or SMS.
- Billing information. Payment method details, processed by our payment provider (Polar). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, and timestamps, used to operate and improve the Service.
- Device data. IP address, browser type, and operating system.
- Cookies. Strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts.
- Send transactional messages (email and, with consent, SMS) about projects, inspections, and account activity.
- Respond to support requests and demo inquiries.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. SMS / Text Message Notifications
Structra uses a Twilio-provisioned toll-free number to send service notifications by SMS. SMS messaging is strictly opt-in. You will only receive text messages if you have explicitly provided your phone number and consented to receive them — either by checking an opt-in box during account setup, by replying YES to a confirmation prompt, or by enabling SMS notifications in your account preferences.
What you can expect
- Message types: Account verification codes, project status updates, inspection reminders, and other transactional alerts you have opted in to.
- Frequency: Variable, based on your project activity. Typically 0–15 messages per week.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan. Structra does not charge you for SMS.
How to opt out
- Reply STOP to any Structra SMS at any time. You will receive one final confirmation message and then stop receiving texts from us.
- Reply HELP to receive contact information for support.
- You can also disable SMS in your account preferences inside the app.
Carrier disclosure
Carriers (e.g. AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers are subject to change without notice.
What we share for SMS
To deliver SMS messages, we share your phone number and the message contents with our SMS provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of routing and delivering the message. We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, payments, error monitoring). They are contractually bound to use your data only to provide their service to us.
- Within your organization. Project content is visible to other authorized members of your organization on the Service.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Structra or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and project information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account by emailing privacy@structra.tech.
6. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email privacy@structra.tech. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Users
Structra is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
